Name Description
Display The alphanumeric display contains 2 character lines with 12 characters each, and one line of
icons with indicators for signal level strength, off-hook, battery level, ringer off, key lock, call infor-
mation and message waiting indication.
The black/white high contrast display has a large viewing area and a backlight. The menu can
be set to the following 17 languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German,
Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Slovakian, Spanish, Swedish
and Turkish.
Keypad The DT292 has a keypad with large buttons and five navigation keys.
Special function keys have been added to support handsfree speaking and access to voice-mail
requires only a single key-press.
Name Description
Handsfree speaking The loudspeaker on the back of the DT292 cordless phone offers excellent sound quality
function and can be used for handsfree speaking and conference calling.
Vibrator alert The integrated vibrating alert can be used in noisy environments or when discretion is required.
Phone book The DT292 cordless phone is equipped with a phone book that can contain up to 100 names and
numbers. The DT292 cordless phone supports Call-by-Name and Quick Call-by-Name for fast
access. This phone book can be uploaded from and downloaded to the handset by using the
Cordless Phone Manager.
Redial The DT292 cordless phone has a redial function enabling the user to redial the last 20 dialed,
answered and missed calls.
Missed call function In idle mode, the cordless phone displays a ’Who Called?’ warning, if there have been missed
calls.
Mute function During a call the button can be used to mute the microphone.
Phone & key lock The cordless phone can be protected against misuse by using a PIN-code. The keypad can be
locked against unintentional use.
Preference settings You can personalize your phone by choosing your preference settings like key click sound, dis-
crete ringing, melody selection, vibrating alert, key lock, PIN-code, language, display contrast, dis-
play backlight, ringing volume, phone lock, etc.
Networks The DT292 cordless phone can be subscribed to up to 8 different networks. Subscription is done
by on-air subscription. In idle mode the display shows the network name, the extension number,
the current date and time

, as well as the battery level and the signal strength. The network name
can be modified by the end-user for each separate network subscription.
Programmable The DT292’s internal phone book can be downloaded to the handset via a special interface
cable and a simple PC program. This makes it convenient to update and maintain a personal
phone book. The cordless phone can be upgraded with latest software releases using the same
PC program.
Name Description
Message Waiting An envelope icon on the display indicates a new message. By pressing the Message key
Indication (MWI) the message box will be accessed directly.
Message key Access your voice-mail system by pressing a single key.
Calling Line Identification The cordless phone presents the telephone number of the incoming caller on the display.
Presentation (CLIP)
Connected Line The cordless phone presents the extension number of the connected party.
Presentation (CoLP)
Calling Name / If the number matches a name in the telephone book, the name associated with the
Number recognition (CNR) number will be presented.
Time & date Time and date are shown when the DT292 is in idle mode. This information is also added to
the call list and missed calls list. Call time information is shown after the termination of a call.
The phone stores the duration of the last call and the total time of all calls.
Alarm clock When the alarm goes off at the set time the cordless phone starts to vibrate and ring.
The warning and display lights also flash.
